Baked Potato Soup

For those who were able to attend the "Mother's day out" activity on Saturday, here is the recipe for the Bake Potato Soup. I would say whose recipe it is, but I got it a few friends removed from the person who originally had the recipe. Hope you all enjoy!

Baked Potato Soup
4 large potatoes
2/3 cup butter
2/3 cup flour
1/2 tsp pepper
1 tsp seasoned salt
1 tsp salt
1 tsp garlic salt
6 cups milk
1 cup sour cream
10 strips crisp bacon-broken up
1/2 cup sliced green onions
1 cup shredded cheddar cheese

Bake potatoes at 350 for 65 to 75 minutes. Peel and dice. In a large saucepan or stock pot, melt butter. Stir in flour and seasonings and whisk 5-6 minutes. Slowly add milk. Slowly bring to boil. Mixture will thicken. Remove from heat. Add cheese, sour cream, onion, bacon and potatoes. Keep warm till potatoes are warmed through. Serve!

*Short cut--Use frozen "southern style" hasbrowns. You know the ones that are already diced.
